At Carderock Recreation Area near the Potomac River, Washington DC, N VA, in MD. The Wilderness First Aid (WFA) and CPR/AED course is intended for the outdoor enthusiast, coaches, guides, international travelers, and people who work/live in remote settings who want more than what an urban first aid course provides. WFA is a great introduction to learning wilderness medicine and basic life support skills. This training focuses on prevention, assessment, and treatment of environmental illnesses, recognizing and stabilizing life threats caused by trauma, and managing a wilderness emergency.
