The canyon has 150+ named rapids in 226 miles, rated on their own unique 1–10 scale. The rapids build gradually. You’ll have days to settle in and get to know the river before the biggest water. With full raft support, you can choose to challenge yourself with harder lines, or to take a relaxing day riding the raft.
October is one of the most sought-after times on the Colorado River permit calendar. The summer crowds are gone and the heat has broken. The canyon settles into crisp mornings, warm afternoon light, and cool nights with legendary dark skies. We are planning more than two years in advance so we can run the Grand Canyon at its best!
